Dearborn County Criminal and Civil Records

Dearborn Birth Records
Requests for birth are handled by the Health Department's Vital Records division in Dearborn. The Department also only makes birth records publicly available after 75 years. Before requesting parties can obtain birth records, they must provide appropriate documentation proving their relationship to the individual. The record holder’s attorney may also access these records. Before being given access to vital records, the subject of a birth record must provide a photo ID with the star if they wish to get the record.
Eligible parties must print and fill out an Application for a Birth Certificate before starting the application process. It costs $10 to request a birth certificate and $5 for each additional copy. Cash, cashier's checks, money orders, or credit cards can all be used to pay. However, an extra $1 administrative fee will be applied to each transaction.
